n Touch Weekly is reporting that Angelina Jolie has given birth to twins.

Sources at the La Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France, have revealed exclusively to In Touch that Angelina Jolie has given birth to her twins. According to insiders, the 33-year-old had a caesarean today at 6pm French time and delivered two girls. The first baby was born at 6.45 pm and the other at 7pm. The babies are in good health, another insider says. Sources say Brad was present during the birth. When contacted by In Touch, the hospital's spokesperson, Nadine Bauer, said that journalists would not be notified ''within minutes'' after the birth and that the only way they would be told was by a press release posted on the hospital Web site. Another insider adds that Angelina is expected to leave the hospital with her newborns within 48 hours. Angelina checked into the seafront hospital earlier this month. US television programme Entertainment Tonight reported that Jolie and her partner, actor Brad Pitt, had become parents once again.

They cited a "source" who claimed to know the babies were girls named Isla Marcheline (after Jolie's late mother) and Amelie Jane (after Pitt's mother).

Cynthia Pett-Dante, Pitt's manager, told The Associated Press: "We have no comment except the story is not true."

A representative for the couple told People.com: "Angelina has not give birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France."

Jolie, 32, appeared heavily pregnant during her last public engagement at the Cannes Film Festival a week ago, where she confirmed she was expecting twins and indicated that she would give birth in France.

She and Pitt already have four children - Maddox, six, Pax, four, and Zahara, three, all of whom were adopted, and biological daughter, Shiloh, two.

They have been staying in a friend's villa in the South of France for the past few months and are believed to be moving to a rented chateau in Provence.

The vineyard estate is in the south-eastern Var region, and removal vans were spotted over the weekend while guards stood watch outside the gates.

Jolie chose Namibia for the birth of Shiloh in 2006. The little girl's arrival sparked such a media frenzy that one commentator wrote: "Not since Jesus has a baby been so eagerly anticipated."
